Faculty of Banking and Financial Services

The Faculty of Banking and Financial Services of SamISI was established in 2004 on the basis of the Faculty of Finance and Credit, and today its activities are formed on the basis of the departments of Finance and Banking. The Faculty of Banking and Financial Services organized its activities on the basis of the Regulations of the Faculty of Banking and Financial Services, approved on October 26, 2019. The Regulations were developed on the basis of the Model Regulations on the Faculty of Higher Educational Institutions and approved in the established manner. The Faculty of Banking and Financial Services was reorganized on the basis of the Faculty of Banking and Financial Services on October 2, 2019. The “Accounting and Audit” educational direction at the faculty was transferred to the newly established “Accounting and Management” faculty in accordance with the order of the rector of the institute dated September 5, 2022 No. 138-F “On Changing the Organizational Structure of the Institute”.

The contingent of students at the faculty:

In the 2025-2026 academic year, a total of 789 students are studying at the faculty, of which:

• 295 students in the 1st year;

• 232 students in the 2nd year;

• 3rd year – 146 students;

• 4th year – 116 students.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the faculty will have 12 full-time employees. There is a Dean, 1 Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, 1 Deputy Dean for Youth Work and Spiritual and Educational Affairs, 2 Methodists, 1 Coordinator of the Faculty Youth Union, and 5 tutors.

There are 3 departments at the faculty. There are 12 professors in the Finance Department, 5 professors in the Banking Department, and 13 in the Investment and Innovation Department.

There are a total of 30 professors and teachers in the 3 departments of the faculty, of which 6 are professors, 8 are candidates of science and PhD, 7 are senior teachers, 7 are assistants and 16 are interns-assistants.

789 students are studying at the faculty, of which 243 are girls and 546 are boys:

• 186 boys, 109 girls in the 1st year,

• 155 boys, 77 girls in the 2nd year,

• 110 boys, 36 girls in the 3rd year,

• 95 boys, 21 girls in the 4th year.

470 students are from Samarkand region, 319 students are from other regions.

No foreign citizens study at the faculty.
