ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO THE MILITARY TRAINING CENTER OF THE SAMARKAND INSTITUTE OF ECONOMICS AND SERVICE

  Requirements for candidates during the admission process:

Applicants must arrive at the general physical fitness assessment events in sportswear and with an identity document.

During the test, students perform the following exercises:

For male students:
▪️ pull-ups on the horizontal bar;
▪️ 100-meter run;
▪️ 3000-meter run.

Between exercises, students are given at least 10 minutes of rest.

Students who fail to perform the prescribed exercises for unexcused reasons or who refuse to take them will be graded "unsatisfactory".

Procedure for performing the pull-up exercise:

When performing the pull-up exercise, the thumb grips the bar from the inside, the body is slightly straightened, the knee joints are extended, the toes are pointed, and the heels are brought together.

The arms are bent until the chin passes above the height of the bar. Once the movement is fully completed, the starting position is resumed. The hanging position must last 1-2 seconds.

When performing the exercise, the following are prohibited:
▪️ spreading the legs apart;
▪️ bending the body while stationary;
▪️ making swinging movements with the legs.

Bending the legs, held together, up to 45° is permitted.

Assessment criteria for pull-ups
▪️ 12 times or more - "excellent";
▪️ 10-11 times - "good";
▪️ 8-9 times - "satisfactory";
▪️ 1-7 times or unable to pull up at all - "unsatisfactory".

Strength exercise complex:

This exercise complex is intended for female students of higher medical education institutions and is performed for a total of 1 minute.

On the commands "Attention" and "Begin the exercise," during the first 30 seconds, lying on the back, the student bends forward as far as possible and touches the toes with the hands. The hands are placed on the waist and the legs are held together. Slightly bending the legs is permitted, and when returning to the starting position the shoulder blades must touch the ground.

On the command "Time," the "prone support position" is assumed, and without rest, during the next 30 seconds, the student performs as many push-ups as possible. The body is kept straight, and the arms are bent until the chest touches the ground.

Assessment criteria:
▪️ 32 times or more - "excellent";
▪️ 29-31 times - "good";
▪️ 26-28 times - "satisfactory";
▪️ 25 times or fewer - "unsatisfactory".

100-meter run:

The 100-meter run is performed from a high or low start and is held on the running track of a stadium or on level areas with a hard surface.

▪️ 14.0 seconds or less - "excellent";
▪️ 14.1-14.4 seconds - "good";
▪️ 14.5-15.2 seconds - "satisfactory";
▪️ 15.3 seconds or more - "unsatisfactory"

3000-meter and 1000-meter runs:

The 3000-meter (male students) and 1000-meter (female students) runs are held on the running track of a stadium or on level areas. A mass start or separate starts may be given. The start and finish lines may be marked at the same place.

Male students - 3000 meters:
▪️ 12:40 minutes or less - "excellent";
▪️ 12:41-13:20 minutes - "good";

Students who fail the general physical fitness tests are not permitted to retake the exercises.

Students are requested to strictly comply with the established requirements and to prepare thoroughly for the tests.
