Congratulations from the Rector of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, Professor Muhiddin Poʻlatov, to teachers...

When the place and influence of the teacher in the life of society grow, the prestige of the school grows, and the value of science, education, and upbringing rises. The authority and esteem of the teacher are the authority and esteem of the nation and of the entire people.

Sh.M.Mirziyoyev

Assalomu alaykum, dear teachers and mentors!

Esteemed Professors and teachers of our institute!

Allow me to sincerely congratulate those who have taught us, guided us along the paths of life, and continue to perform this duty with honor today, on the professional holiday "October 1 – Day of Teachers and Mentors." This holiday is, above all, a vivid example of our people's age-old respect and reverence toward our teachers and mentors, who selflessly serve the path of enlightenment, sparing neither their knowledge and experience, talent and skill, nor their human qualities, nor their whole being. The sincere reverence for teachers and mentors is also reflected in our people's wise saying, "A teacher is as great as a father." Of course, whatever field each of us may work in, we all feel the need for teachers and mentors.

At the word "teacher," every person feels deep respect and reverence and boundless gratitude in their heart, together with a sense of indebtedness that cannot be measured or repaid with any wealth. A person always lives with a feeling of gratitude toward the teachers and mentors who opened for them the way to the world of knowledge and enlightenment and who labored to instill in their heart a sense of lofty human qualities.

Our people, honoring their teachers, say: "A teacher's life is eternal, because the lives of his students are joined to it." At this moment there rise before our eyes the first teacher who placed a pen in our hands and led us into the world of knowledge, and the person who helped us untie the knot of a problem when we were struggling, and who remained in our memory for life through that single deed. With great respect and reverence we remember our dear school, which left an unforgettable mark on our hearts, our innocent years spent within it, and our kind teachers and mentors who gave us knowledge and taught us human virtues.

At the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, too, remaining faithful to age-old traditions, the teacher–student tradition has always been cherished. Today, nearly 300 Professors and teachers at the institute are giving their thousands of students not only economic but also life lessons. From year to year, the number of staff with scientific potential at our institute is also growing. Our students continue to achieve high results in various subject olympiads. The number of recipients of state scholarships among our students is also increasing. Behind all this, of course, lies the arduous work of our hardworking Professors and teachers.

Dear teachers, on behalf of the entire team of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service and its many students and young people, I would like to express our deep respect to you today for the education and upbringing you give our students, sparing neither your labor nor your health.

Respected teachers!

Today we live in a social state in which every person, regardless of nationality, language, or religion, can realize their abilities and talents, knowledge and experience. In this, all of us must mobilize our strength and resources for the intellectual and physical development of our young people, so that they receive a quality education and take a worthy place in life.

This year, in our Constitution in its new edition, the status of the teacher was for the first time defined separately, and the development of the education system was included among the state's main tasks. In addition, in the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy, the program of our development, new goals and plans for the further development of the education system have been set together with you.

Implementing these priority tasks and raising a new generation capable of assuming responsibility for the fate and future of New Uzbekistan require all of us to work with great energy, determination, and resolve.

To our revered teachers and mentors, who shed the light of goodness on thousands upon thousands of tender hearts and give their students the school of life, we say: may your professional holiday today be blessed! Never tire of searching for knowledge! Never grow weary of spreading the light of enlightenment to the younger generations!
