Cooperation ties with higher education institutions of Spain are expanding
From April 13 to 17 of this year, a delegation of Spanish higher education institutions is on an official visit to Uzbekistan. The delegation includes 21 senior staff members from 12 Spanish higher education institutions.
Today, April 15, a round table between Uzbek and Spanish higher education institutions was organized at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road".
The purpose of this round table was to establish and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Spain, and to implement new practical initiatives jointly.
Representatives of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service also took part in the round table. Substantive B2B-format discussions were held with the University of Granada (Inmaculada Marrero - Vice Rector for Internationalization, Enrique Quero - Director of the Center for Slavic Cultures, Juan Sánchez Fernández - Director-Gerente del Centro de Lenguas Modernas) and the University of Huelva (Maria Antonia Peña - Rector, María Teresa Aceytuno - Vice Rector for Internationalization and Global Engagement) of Spain.
Our institute has been cooperating with the University of Granada since 2017. Various Erasmus+ projects have been implemented jointly, and exchanges of professors, teachers and students have been organized. During the discussion, a proposal was put forward to resume these projects. It was agreed to renew the cooperation agreement.
