February 11 — on the occasion of the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science", a female scientist of SamISI was honored.
The attitude toward women in our country has its own historical roots. Our ancestors always encouraged the appreciation of women and showing them respect and esteem. Abdulla Avloniy emphasized: "Girls should strive for education more than anyone else, for with this knowledge they will raise the future generation."
In order to ensure equal opportunities for women and girls to make full use of science, as well as to expand the rights and opportunities of women, the resolution "Science, Technology and Innovation for Development Goals," adopted by the UN General Assembly, proclaimed February 11 as the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science."
For several days now, the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science" has been solemnly celebrated throughout our Republic. Female scholars of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service were also invited to this event. In particular, Yulduz Pirnazarovna Urunbayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, was awarded a letter of appreciation by the Regional Governor's Office.
We wish the teacher success in her family life and scientific work in the future.
Congratulations to our teacher!
