Leadership of our partner, Woosuk University, visited the Institute as guests

The Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service and Woosuk University of the Republic of Korea have been cooperating since 2020. It was in 2020 that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two higher education institutions. Subsequently, since October 2021, the Korean language training center "Samarkand King Sejong Institute" has been operating at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service in cooperation with Woosuk University.

Today, the opening ceremony of the new academic year was held at this center. Following the opening, a meeting was organized between Muhiddin Po'latov, Rector of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, and Kim Dong Joo, Vice-Rector of Woosuk University and Director of the Center for Global Relations.

At the meeting, the results of the activities and achievements of the "Samarkand King Sejong Institute" Korean language training center to date were discussed first. The presentation of the center's strategy for 2024-2026 was heard. Existing problems and proposals aimed at resolving them were outlined. In addition, issues of raising cooperation between the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service and Woosuk University to an even higher level, as well as of cooperating in the fields of education, science, and culture, were discussed.

Kim Dong Joo, Vice-Rector of Woosuk University and Director of the Center for Global Relations, invited Muhiddin Po'latov, Rector of the institute, to visit Korea to become acquainted with the infrastructure of Woosuk University.

The working visit of the guests from the Republic of Korea to the city of Samarkand continues.
