  1. The Department of Investment and Innovations was established by Order No. 138-f of the Rector of the Institute dated September 5, 2022.
  2. The Department of Investment and Innovations operates within the structure of the Faculty of Banking and Financial Services.
  3. Brief History of the Department
     The Department of Investment and Innovations was founded in accordance with the Rector’s Order No. 138-f on September 5, 2022. The department team was formed in September 2022 and began its activities with 15 staff positions.
  4. The department is responsible for training highly qualified specialists in the following bachelor’s degree programs:
  • 60411000 – Investment Project Management and Financing
  • 60412700 – Valuation (Appraisal) Studies

Currently, the department consists of 16.75 staff units, including 13 full-time academic staff, 3 internal and 5 external part-time lecturers, and 1 laboratory manager. Among them are 1 Doctor of Economics (Professor), 2 Candidates of Economic Sciences (Associate Professors), 8 Associate Professors and equivalent titles, 4 Senior Lecturers, and 6 Lecturers (Assistants and Assistant-trainees). The department also employs experienced specialists from related fields.

Since its establishment, the department’s faculty members have prepared and published over 5 textbooks (approved by the Ministry), around 20 teaching manuals (also approved by the Ministry), and more than 25 methodological guides and instructions.

During this period, the department staff have published nearly 2,000 scientific articles in both local and international journals, including over 5 articles in journals indexed by Scopus.

In addition, the department’s academic staff have organized several republican scientific and practical conferences, including:

  1. “Problems and Solutions for Enhancing Investment Attractiveness in the Innovative Development of the Economy” (November 29–30, 2023)
  2. “Developing Innovative and Investment Activities in the Green Economy: Challenges and Solutions” (November 22–23, 2024)
  3. “Investments in Green Technologies: Challenges and Opportunities on the Path to Sustainable Development” (October 24–25, 2025)


The Department of Investment and Innovations was established in line with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-60 dated December 24, 2021, “On Additional Measures to Ensure the Academic and Organizational Management Independence of State Higher Education Institutions”, as well as the Minutes No. 11 of the Institute Council meeting held on July 7, 2022.

To optimize the structure of faculties and departments and enhance their efficiency, the department was officially founded by Order No. 138-f of the Rector dated September 5, 2022.

The department team was formed in September 2022 and began its academic and educational activities with 15 staff positions. Professor A. B. Bektemirov, Doctor of Economics, was unanimously appointed as the Head of the Department.
