The history of the department of "Economic Analysis and Statistics" is closely linked with the activities of the departments of "Scientific basis of management", "Statistics" and "Finance and Credit".

It is known that for many years in Uzbekistan, the subject of analysis has been taught in higher and secondary special educational institutions mainly on the basis of textbooks prepared by scientists from central cities (Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev). But that was not the case. This encouraged Uzbek scientists in the 1960s to create and publish their own literature in this field.

Thanks to the efforts of our scholars, the textbooks published by the Center will be invited as authors. In particular, the authors of the textbook "Analysis of economic activity of enterprises of Matlubot cooperation", published in 1966 by the Moscow publishing house "Economics" OR Kmitsikevich from Lviv, L.A. By the second half of the 1970s, the ranks of analysts began to be recognized and expanded throughout Uzbekistan. Textbooks on this subject began to appear in Uzbek. These textbooks and manuals were the first steps for the development and prospects of economic analysis in our country.

It should be noted that in all higher and secondary special educational institutions of the republic, except for agricultural institutes, special subjects, including economic analysis, were taught in Russian. Due to this, all works in areas other than agriculture were prepared and published in Russian.

They were recommended as a textbook to all cooperative institutes in the Union and were published in 1983 at the Samarkand Cooperative Institute.

The first part of this album is devoted to "Theoretical Foundations of Economic Analysis" and all topics are clearly described. The second volume of this album is called "Economic Analysis in Cooperative Trade".

It provides a detailed analysis of the economic activities of cooperatives.

However, due to the fact that the press cooperation is a multidisciplinary field, the 3rd volume of the album is devoted to the topic "Analysis of the economic activity of individual branches of the press cooperation", and the 4th volume of the album describes the methods of analysis carried out after receiving reports from all branches in the press cooperation organizations. containing It is called "Financial Analysis" and it is dedicated to summarizing the financial situation of all sectors. These analysis methods are also illustrated through clear drawings.

Thus, the Samarkand Cooperative Institute became a methodical center in the field of analysis of economic activity among the higher educational institutions of the former Centrosoyuz, as noted above. Samarkand scientists began to develop a new form of analysis, complex analysis methods. Thus, a school of economic analysis was created at the Samarkand Cooperative Institute and was constantly developing.

The aspirations of the Republic of Uzbekistan towards independence encouraged Samarkand scientists to write textbooks in the Uzbek language. It was led by prof.
