The Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service also took part in the nationwide republican seedling-planting marathon launched in the city of Jizzakh.

A team consisting of the institute's leadership, professors and teachers, staff, and volunteer student-youth gathered at the institute's "Mironqul" recreation area to establish the "Intellectuals' Garden" within the framework of the "Green Space" project, under the slogan "These gardens will become one garden...!"

First, landscaping and beautification work was carried out in the area. Then, fruit and ornamental seedlings were planted on the plot allocated for the "Intellectuals' Garden."

In addition, a competition was organized among students and young people based on the principle "One tree for every citizen."
