ANNOUNCEMENT! ATTENTION PROFESSORS AND TEACHING STAFF!

An open competition is announced for internships and professional development at higher education institutions of the Republic of Türkiye!

With the aim of developing cooperation in the field of higher education between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, enhancing the professional and scientific potential of faculty members, studying advanced foreign experience, and strengthening academic ties, an open competition is planned for faculty members of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service for internships and professional development at higher education institutions of the Republic of Türkiye.

Within the framework of the competition, special attention will be paid to developing the professional competencies of participants, studying modern teaching methodologies, improving research activities, and applying the advanced experience acquired to the Institute's educational and research activities.

Conditions for participation in the competition

Faculty members who meet the following requirements may participate in the competition:

• Be employed as a full-time faculty member at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service;
• Have at least 2 years of scientific and pedagogical work experience;
• Have a sufficient command of Turkish or English to participate in the professional development program, at a level of at least B2;
• Have achieved certain results in scientific and pedagogical activities over the last 3 years (scientific articles, teaching and methodological developments, participation in international projects, and other results);
• Be able to substantiate the purpose, relevance, and expected results of the professional development;
• Have specific proposals for applying the knowledge and experience acquired during the professional development to the Institute's educational and research activities.

Documents required for the competition

1. Application addressed to the Rector of the Institute;
2. Curriculum vitae (CV);
3. Brief information on the results of scientific and pedagogical activities;
4. Certificate confirming language proficiency (if available);
5. Motivation letter (1–2 pages) stating the purpose of the professional development and the expected results;
6. Copy of the international passport.

Deadline for submission of documents: May 25, 2026.

Place of submission of documents: Department of International Cooperation of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service.
