Official response to the appeal titled "A Dean at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service demanded $200 for passing an examination" published on the Telegram channel "Фатима Жураева" and on the social network Facebook.

At the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, the final state attestation tests were conducted in the form of tests in five subjects, taught with the highest number of hours among the specialization subjects of the field of study. The list of subjects and the set of questions were posted on the Institute's official website one month before the final state attestation tests. The composition of the commission administering the final state attestation tests was approved by order of the Rector of the Institute and included professors and teachers of related higher education institutions as well as representatives of employer organizations.

Furthermore, this year's final state attestation examinations and other types of assessments were conducted transparently, in a fully computerized format, in rooms equipped with cameras, in the presence of assigned commission members. Moreover, the examination process is regularly shown to the general public on the Institute's official pages.

In addition, the appeal was examined by the Institute's Anti-Corruption

"Compliance Control" System

Management Department, which concluded that the information was not based on specific facts. The claim that students were asked for money for the examination was not substantiated.
